Yes. Our control room is staffed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year including bank holidays and weekends. Threats don't follow business hours, and neither do we. You will never be without cover or support.
Yes. We maintain comprehensive public liability and employer's liability insurance across all our operations. Evidence of insurance can be provided on request prior to contract commencement.
Manned Guarding
SIA-licensed security officers
Manned guarding is the deployment of uniformed, SIA-licensed security officers to your premises to deter, detect, and respond to threats. It is the most effective form of physical security because nothing replaces the judgment, adaptability, and authority of a trained human presence on site.
Yes 100% of our deployed officers hold a valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guard licence. We verify all licences before deployment and continuously monitor licence expiry dates to guarantee compliance at every post, every shift.
All officers are vetted to BS 7858 standard, which includes an enhanced DBS check, 5-year employment history verification, right-to-work checks, address history verification, and character references. No officer is deployed until fully cleared. There are no exceptions to this policy.
Yes. We offer fully flexible shift patterns including daytime only, night shifts, weekends, and full 24/7 continuous cover. Shift patterns are agreed during the planning stage and written into your post instructions. We guarantee zero shift gaps if an officer calls in sick, a replacement is deployed.
We provide both static and roving guard posts, tailored to your site layout and threat profile. A static post places an officer at a fixed location (entrance, reception, asset area), while a roving post has the officer patrol defined areas at set intervals. Many sites benefit from a combination of both.
We aim to maintain officer consistency so your team and site become familiar to the deployed officer. Where regular officers are unavailable, any relief officer will be fully briefed using the site-specific post instructions before taking up the post. You will always be notified of any changes.
Yes. Our management team carries out unannounced supervisory visits to all posts on a regular basis. These checks assess officer conduct, uniform standards, post instruction adherence, and site conditions. Results are recorded and form part of your monthly performance review.
Yes. All Britannic Security officers hold a valid first aid qualification as standard. In the event of a medical emergency on your site, your officer is equipped and trained to respond appropriately while awaiting emergency services.
Every incident is documented in a written incident report, completed by the attending officer and reviewed by our control room. Reports are provided to you promptly following any incident and retained for your records. Serious incidents trigger an immediate escalation protocol involving senior management and, where appropriate, police liaison.
K9 Guarding
Dog handler security teams
K9 guarding pairs a trained security dog with a fully SIA-licensed handler to create an exceptionally powerful security presence. The sight, sound, and scent of a working dog creates an immediate deterrent response. Dogs are deployed for perimeter patrol, narcotics and explosives detection, and high-risk area security.
Yes. All of our K9 handlers hold a valid SIA licence and are additionally certified under NASDU (National Association of Security Dog Users). NASDU certification is the nationally recognised standard for security dog handlers in the UK, and all our dogs are trained, housed, and cared for in accordance with NASDU and BIPDT welfare standards.
We deploy five specialist breeds, each selected for the specific demands of their security role based on intelligence, drive, scent capability, and physical presence. The breed deployed to your site is matched to your threat profile and operational requirements.
Yes. We deploy specialist narcotics detection and explosives/firearms search dogs. These teams are trained to locate controlled substances and threat items across vehicles, premises, and open areas. Narcotics detection is particularly valuable for warehouses, construction sites, and large estates.
K9 teams are especially effective on large sites, warehouses, construction zones, industrial estates, and high-risk environments where a visible and powerful deterrent is needed across a wide area. They are also deployed at events requiring crowd control or specialist search capability.
Animal welfare is non-negotiable. All dogs are trained, housed, and cared for in strict accordance with NASDU and BIPDT welfare standards. Each dog is bonded with their handler, receives regular veterinary care, and undergoes structured training maintenance. Monthly welfare reviews are conducted across all K9 teams.
Yes. We offer mobile K9 patrol, where vehicle-based handler teams cover multiple sites or large estate perimeters. This is a cost-effective solution for clients who need the deterrent value of a K9 team across several locations without committing to a full static deployment at each site.
Mobile Patrol
Vehicle patrol & response
Mobile patrol is the deployment of SIA-licensed officers in marked, GPS-tracked patrol vehicles who conduct scheduled and random visits to your site. It provides cost-effective, wide-area security coverage without the cost of a full-time static officer ideal for businesses that need a visible security presence but don't require someone on site 24/7.
Our average alarm response time is under 20 minutes. Our patrol vehicles are strategically positioned across coverage areas to ensure rapid deployment. Response times may vary slightly depending on location and time of night, but we provide realistic SLA commitments based on your specific site address.
Yes. We offer a dedicated keyholding service where we act as your nominated keyholder, securely holding keys to your premises and attending in response to alarms or emergencies. This removes the burden from you or your staff and ensures a trained professional responds not an employee woken in the middle of the night.
Yes. Our lock and unlock service has our patrol officers open and secure your premises at agreed times every day. This eliminates the risk of forgotten lock-ups, provides peace of mind, and removes the responsibility from your staff. Any anomalies found during locking are immediately reported and escalated.
Yes. We provide vacant property inspection services regular visits to unoccupied premises to check for signs of intrusion, vandalism, squatting, or damage. This is particularly important for insurance compliance, as many policies require evidence of regular inspections for unoccupied properties.
Our standard fleet uses marked, liveried patrol vehicles a visible deterrent in themselves. For specific operational requirements where a lower profile is preferred, we can discuss unmarked deployment options. All vehicles, marked or unmarked, are fully GPS-tracked and logged throughout every shift.
After every visit you receive a detailed digital patrol report including timestamped arrival and departure, GPS-tracked patrol record, photographic evidence where relevant, and a written condition report. This full audit trail is available on request and provides evidence of service for insurance and compliance purposes.

Integrated FM services
We provide a comprehensive range of FM services including planned and reactive maintenance, access control and CCTV management, commercial cleaning and hygiene services, waste management, concierge and front-of-house support, and integrated security and FM combined. Soft FM covers services that support the building's occupants cleaning, hygiene, waste management, concierge, and front-of-house. We deliver both under a single contract.
Yes. We design, install, and manage electronic access control systems and 24/7 CCTV monitoring as part of our integrated FM offering. Physical and electronic security work together every entry point is accounted for and every incident is recorded. Our control room monitors feeds continuously around the clock.
Yes. We operate structured Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedules to protect your assets and ensure compliance, alongside a fast reactive maintenance response to minimise disruption whenever unexpected issues arise. Single point of contact, full accountability, no passing the buck between contractors.
Yes. All personnel across every discipline are vetted to BS 7858 standard before deployment whether they are security officers, maintenance operatives, or cleaning staff. You should never have to compromise on the trustworthiness of anyone entering your premises under our contract.
We manage both. Whether you operate a single office, a retail unit, or a multi-site estate spanning multiple locations across the UK, our teams are trained and resourced to deliver consistent FM standards across every site. Multi-site clients benefit from centralised reporting and a dedicated account manager overseeing all locations.
Compliance & Accreditations
Standards, licences & certifications
The Approved Contractor Scheme (ACS) is operated by the Security Industry Authority (SIA) and is the highest voluntary standard achievable in the UK private security industry. ACS-approved companies are independently assessed across a wide range of criteria including management systems, officer training, HR practices, and operational standards. It is not a marketing badge it requires ongoing commitment to maintain.
BS 7858 is the British Standard for the screening of individuals in a security environment. It requires a minimum 5-year employment history check, enhanced DBS (criminal records) check, address history verification, right-to-work checks, and character references. All Britannic Security personnel are screened to this standard before deployment.
The Security Industry Authority (SIA) is the UK government body that regulates the private security industry. It is a legal requirement for any individual working in a licensable security role to hold a valid SIA licence. Employing or contracting unlicensed security personnel is a criminal offence. Every Britannic Security officer holds a current, verified SIA licence.
The National Association of Security Dog Users (NASDU) sets the nationally recognised standards for security dog handlers and their dogs in the UK. NASDU certification covers handler training, dog training, welfare standards, and operational protocols. All our K9 handlers are NASDU certified, and all dogs are maintained in accordance with NASDU and BIPDT welfare requirements.
Yes. We can provide copies of our ACS certificate, SIA licence verification, BS 7858 vetting records, insurance certificates, and NASDU certification for K9 operations upon request. These are routinely included in our pre-contract documentation pack. We welcome scrutiny our standards invite it.
Yes. Britannic Security operates in full compliance with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. This is particularly important in the context of CCTV monitoring and access control data. We maintain appropriate data retention policies, privacy notices, and processing agreements. A copy of our Privacy Policy is available on our website.
Contracts & Pricing
Terms, pricing & flexibility
All pricing is bespoke to your specific requirements. Factors include the number of officers required, shift patterns, site location, risk level, number of sites, and contract duration. We do not publish standard rates because we believe every client deserves a tailored proposal not a one-size-fits-all price list. All proposals include fully transparent, itemised pricing.
No. Transparent pricing is a core principle at Britannic Security. Your proposal will include a full breakdown of all costs there are no hidden management fees, no surprise invoices, and no vague line items. If requirements change and costs need to be revised, we discuss this with you before making any adjustments.
We offer flexible contract options from short-term and ad hoc arrangements through to long-term contracts for clients who want ongoing, stable security provision. Contract length can affect pricing, and we are happy to discuss the most cost-effective arrangement for your needs. We do not lock clients into unnecessarily long contracts.
Yes. We understand that security needs change seasonally, operationally, and in response to incidents. Our contracts are designed to allow scaling up or down with reasonable notice. We work as a partner, not just a contractor, and our account management team will proactively discuss your requirements with you.
Yes. We offer short-term and ad hoc arrangements for clients who need temporary cover construction phases, events, seasonal peaks, or bridging between security providers. These are assessed individually and priced accordingly. We are equally happy to support a client for a week or for years.
Yes. Every Britannic Security client is assigned a named account manager not a call centre number, not a rotating team. Your account manager knows your site, understands your risks, and is your direct point of contact for any queries, changes, or concerns. Fast decisions, no bureaucratic delays.
Switching is straightforward. Contact us and we will review your current arrangements, assess your notice period obligations, and plan a seamless handover that ensures zero gap in your security cover.
